It’s always interesting to see what birds are hanging out at Ford’s Pond west of Sutherlin.  We’ll walk the lovely 1.7 mile loop trail around the Pond, which generally takes 2-3 hours.  Please bring binoculars, spotting scope if you have one, water/snack.  The trail around the pond is mostly (but not yet entirely) paved.  Meet at the Ford’s Pond parking lot off Church Road by 8 am.  For more information on Ford’s Pond location, birds, etc., see http://ebird.org/ebird/hotspot/L278056.

This trip will be co-led by Abraham Finlay and Diana Wales.  Abraham Finlay is a student in Roseburg, an avid birder, wildlife photographer, and an active wildlife rescuer since 2019.  Diana Wales is President of Umpqua Valley Audubon Society and will be handling logistics.

We’re going to limit this trip to 12 people, so signing up is required.  To sign up, contact us at info@umpquaaudubon.org.  Questions?  Text or call Diana Wales at 541-680-0436.
