Umpqua Valley Audubon Society

Stacy Burleigh was joined this morning 2/16/18 by Voyla Steves at the Stewart Park Wildlife Park and Nature Trail and the two of them counted 23 species that added up to a total of 569 birds that were tallied for the 21st Great Backyard Bird Count!  They enjoyed each other’s company and helped one another rejuvenate some of those rusty bird identification skills.


They are 2 more days left in this year’s Great Backyard Bird Count and we encourage others to partake. Just recording what comes to your bird feeder(s) is valuable information that began being collected 21 years ago. See for more information if you would like to contribute.
