Spring is nesting season – get ready to spot the secrets hiding in plain sight! Bailey will share a lively and insightful presentation on the nesting cycle. Discover fascinating behaviors of nesting birds, learn how to support them in your own backyard and find out how your observations can contribute to real scientific research.
Bailey is the project leader for NestWatch, an international participatory science program based at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. She researches trends in avian nesting success using data provided by community scientists. Her work has been published in academic journals, magazines, blogs, pocket guides and a book chapter. Bailey has been at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology for 15 years and really enjoys that there is always more to learn when it comes to nesting birds.
