The ADA accessible pathway is finished all the way around
Ford’s Pond!
Meet: 7 am at Ford’s Pond parking lot -382 Church Rd, Sutherlin. From I-5 take Exit 136, drive west on Hwy 138 and at 1 mile, turn left onto Church Rd (**GPS may not be dependable). The walk will be approximately 2 hours long. Participants can leave when they need to.
Additional Info: People new to birding are always welcome to join in, as are families with children. Loaner binoculars are available for adults and children. We will have local volunteer birders in attendance, but we also encourage the group to help spot and ID birds. We walk at a slow pace, stopping often to observe birds.
Accessibility and trail conditions: With the ADA accessible pathway completed and open, we can return to walking on the south side of Ford’s Pond where it is more “birdy”. This also gives access to Woodruff pond that often has unique species. A porta-potty is available at the Church Rd parking lot until the ADA restrooms are open.

Next Dates: Sept. 14, 2024 (September completes our year of birding!)
